International Exchange Category (IC)

  1. This category is required all documentations and presentations to be in English.
  2. category is designed for international teams with innovative ICT or computer technology projects. Eligible projects may focus on, but are not limited to, areas such as AI, AIoT, blockchain, cloud applications, cybersecurity, medical technology, mobile applications, open data, XR, e-commerce, green technology/sustainability, smart manufacturing, sport-tech, e-mobility, etc.

Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD program at accredited colleges or universities.
  2. Participants maintain their students’ qualification until November 1, 2025.
  3. Each team may register for one project, consist of up to 8 eligible students and must have at least 1, but no more than 2 mentors.
  4. If the team has won another ICT-related competition award(s) in the past, please provide the proof for reference.
  5. Projects are commercialized are NOT allowed to participate in the competition.

All applications must be submitted at Online Registration.

Required Submission Documents

Description of Information System Form The teams are required to submit the Description Form to explain what your team have built. The form must be submitted in MS Word format (.doc or .docx), written in English, and limited to 5 pages, 12-pt. (with a maximum file size of 4MB).
A copy of students' ID card All participants need to provide eligible student cards with both sides and including the expiration date.
3-minute Presentation Video
  1. The video must be presented in English by at least one team member; any video exceeding 3 minutes in length, presented by mentors, or lacking oral description will not be included in the assessment.
  2. Please upload your video to YouTube with privacy settings set to 'Unlisted' and provide the URL in the online submission form.

If your Student ID card does not display an expiration date, please provide an official confirmation of your student status from your school or department. If you encounter difficulties obtaining the official confirmation, you may alternatively provide an enrollment payment confirmation.

Assessment Process

  1. 1st Stage Assessment: The judge panel will evaluate the project system form and the 3-minute video presentation from registration teams.
  2. Live Final Stage: Qualified teams are required to perform a live demonstration of their prototypes in class="text-danger">English in Taipei, Taiwan, including a 6-minute presentation and a 7-minute Q&A session.

Evaluation Criteria

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges representing the industry, government, and education sectors. The assessment will assign a score range review for each sector involved in your project, as outlined in the following list:
