The Challenge

The InnoServe Awards 2019 challenges teams to design and build prototypes of “innovative ICT applications.” Qualified teams are required to perform a live demonstration of their prototypes in English at the Final Round in Taipei, Taiwan.

Eligibility

The contest is open to all students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs at accredited colleges or universities worldwide.

A team may consist of up to 8 eligible students. Each team must have at least one, but no more than two mentors.

To be considered for the Contest, teams need to have previously undergone a strict selection process (i.e. previous winner in any other ICT-related Contest). Teams will be required to provide evidence of eligibility.

  1. Application Form
  2. Description of Information System: The Description must be submitted in MS Word Format (.doc or .docx). It must be in English and limited to 3 pages. Maximum file size for this submission is 1.5MB.
  3. Scanned Copy of Student ID Card (front and back)\.
  4. Project Preview Video (3 mins): The Video must be uploaded to YouTube with private settings (change the privacy settings for that video to Unlisted)and entered into the registration form with a link to the video.

Judging

Entries will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of representatives from the industry, government and education sectors.

  • Practicability 45%
  • Presentation Performance 15%
  • Document Integrity 10%

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: NTD 120,000 (Approx. USD 3,800) per team
  • 2nd Prize: NTD 50,000 (Approx. USD 1,600) per team
  • 3rd Prize: NTD 30,000 (Approx. USD 950) per team
  • Best Innovation Award: Certificate
